Describe an interesting conversation you had with someone (or a stranger)
You should say:
When you had the conversation
Who this person was
Why you had this conversation
And how you felt about it
Well …off the top of my head, the first interesting conversation I can think of is the time I had a chat with my uncle. He’s a high school history teacher. I hang out with him a lot. And we had that conversation on a train taking us to a travel destination.
At the time I was watching a TV show on my iPad to kill some time during the journey. I still remember it was about the Emperor Yongzheng and his great contribution to the country. After my uncle saw me watching it, he became a chatterbox256. He had a lot to say about this Emperor. He said the Emperor’s lifestyle was similar to that of an Internet celebrity today. You know, I never thought that there could be any similarities between such different kinds of people. Honestly, I questioned257 his points at first, but he did convince me later. He related the lifestyles by talking about how both an internet celebrity and the Emperor faced a lot of gossip. Then I found it interesting how he could connect historical lives of others with modern day situations.
I listened to my uncle with relish. It was as fun as listening to some gossip, but about the ancient world. The conversation made me feel like the time on the train was flying by258. To be honest, it’s such a treat talking to him. Not only can I learn tons of historical knowledge from him, but I can definitely blow off some steam by talking to a wise person like him.
