Speaking of something I found after I lost it, the first thing that comes to mind is an iPhone. It happened about three years ago. And I remember it like it was yesterday265.
It was raining that day. I was taking a cab to college after I had a meet-up with several friends. But a few minutes after I got out of the cab266, I suddenly noticed that I didn’t have my cellphone on me267. I freaked out right away. And I recalled that when I got out of the cab, I was in a hurry and only took an umbrella with me. So the cellphone had to be268 in the cab.
I didn’t remember the plate number269 of the cab, so the only solution I could think of was to call my own cellphone and hope the driver could pick it up. There wasn’t anyone I knew at the gate of my university, so I asked a stranger passing by270 if she could kindly lend her cellphone to me. She believed me and lent it to me. Fortunately, the driver answered the phone call and agreed to send my cellphone back. After half an hour, the driver drove back with my cellphone.
That day was a total rollercoaster271. If I didn’t meet the nice lady and the good-hearted driver, I might’ve lost my cellphone for good272 I’m really grateful to them. Ever since then273, I’ve been very cautious when I go outside and I’ve never lost anything again.
