I’d like to talk about my primary school. I used to study at Ningbo Experimental Primary School559. It’s within walking distance of my home. It usually took me a 5-or-6-minute walk to get there. So my parents rarely gave me a ride to school but let me walk there. They said it was for boosting my sense of independence360.

Anyway, as I remember, my primary school was always the best in our neighbourhood. The teaching quality and hardware facilities were top-level in my hometown. The headmaster and teachers there were really nice. And I liked the music teacher the most out of all the teachers361. She really opened my eyes362 when it came to music. She was a lovable lady, and she treated us like friends. Of course there is another reason why I like her best; we never had to do any homework, which was really the cherry on top363.

My elementary school provided a wide selection of subjects. Besides basic classes including Chinese, math, and English, we also had many practical courses364 For example, I learned needlework and paper cutting365 during my primary school year.

Now, it’s been almost twenty years since I graduated. But I still miss my childhood there whenever I recall that school. Compared to the life I live now, the several years in primary school were the happiest and most relaxed period of life I’ve ever enjoyed. To be honest, if I could, I wish I could go back to my childhood and never grow up.
