Speaking of a film that I?d love to share with others, the first one that comes to mind is a Korean film called Train to Busan. Simply speaking, it? s a very entertaining and well-crafted373 zombie movie374. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it before, but it was a huge smash at the box office375 when it came out two years ago. I actually watched the online version at a friend’s home with her projector.
Anyway, the storyline is actually pretty simple. When the protagonist376, a father, takes a train ride with his daughter to Busan, which is a Korean city, the zombie apocalypse377 occurs. Most people are just scrambling378 to run away and some even kill others for their own survival. The father has to fight with the zombies and the living to survive with his daughter in the zombie disaster. In the end, he sacrifices himself and becomes a zombie to save his daughter’s life. The story sounds thrilling but it runs really smoothly and there are tons of action and emotion in it. So, it’s a total blast to watch.
The main reason that I love sharing it with others is not only the stunning visual effects, but also the theme of the story. Besides the scary zombies, the movie does reflect the ugly side of human nature380 when it comes to survival. Maybe we are more selfish and self-centered381 than we think we are. It’s ultimately a topic about human nature that we could talk about forever.
