  6. How would you reduce traffic problems in you area?
  7. How do you think public transport could be improved?

  1. I havn’t done any research about this, but I think it might be the subway. In Shanghai most people live far away from their workplace because of the high house prices in downtown areas, added that taking the subway is relatively cheap and fast, so subway becomes the most suitable means for them to commute.
  2. Oh yest Although it can be very crowded in some areas, many people still choose to drive to work. They believe that driving to work is a symbol of their social status.
  3. I might choose public transportation. On the one hand, public transport is relatively cheaper, saving me a lot of money, on the other hand, I do not need to maintain vehicles or worrying about breaking traffic rules.
  4. Well, yes. In our area there are a lot of private cars, and sometimes the drivers choose to park their car on the road instead of parking space. I know they believe their parking method is convenient for themselves, but the road becomes narrower with cars on one side, and it is unconvenient for other drivers.
  5. I think the regulators should ban the behavior of parking out of the parking space, as I just said, with those cars on the road, the road is no narrow for other cars to pass, moreover, this has lead to some degree of congestion as well.
  6. Signs should be set to remind the drivers to be aware of the pedestrians, especially children. Sometimes they drive so fast regardless of us pedestrians, and once I saw one car nearly hit a little boy, luckily, he didn’t get hurt.
  7. First they should increase bus lines as well as subway lines for people who have various destinations. And for those lines which are always crowded, more trains should be used in order to deal with the congestion.
