Well, I am eager to win a prize from Korean Singing Contest, which is held by the Korean community in my city next month. Candidates need to sing Korean songs in the competition. You know, Korean culture is quite popular in my country, there are hundreds of Korean dramas on different platforms, and youths are for Korean celebrities, which increases the popularity of learning Korean.
I first heard about the competition from local news pushed by WeChat application two weeks ago, while chatting with my friend, Jane. Expensive awards of the match, including a trip to South Korea and Korean VIP classes, absolutely fascinate me. It’s definitely worthy of attending. I have to go as Jane believes that I will get the champion.
I think that I will sing a song from a popular Korean drama called !My Love from the Star’, so I have to get familiar well with its lyrics and rhythm. The main way that I am using is to follow the scripts of the episodes and TV shows on YouTube when I am in my room. It’s a cheap and convenient method of learning. I would also subscribe to numerous channels and try to sing in Korean several times a day.
As a big fan of Korean, I really want to prove my proficiency in Korean. Winning a prize from the competition will make me confident and motivate me to improve my spoken Korean further. In addition, I feel alive when I’m on stage. It’s the most rewarding feeling for me.
