1. What places are often crowded in your city?
As a person commuting by bus and subway on a regular basis, I have to say that public transportation
stations are literally415 the most crowded places. Every morning on weekdays, I have to get on a bus or a subway train. Sometimes, it’s so crowded that I can barely breathe416.
2. How do you feel when you are in crowded places? Do you like being in crowded places or quiet places?
I feel kind of stressed out417 when I’m in a crowded place. I’m more of418 a shy person, so I don’t like having tons of strangers around me. Plus, crowds can get pretty noisy, so they tend to give me a bit of a headache419. I definitely prefer being in quiet places instead.
3. In which circumstances do you feel happy being in a crowded place?
I generally feel happy in a crowded place when I’m at a fun event like a concert. Last year, I went to see one of my favorite bands live. They’re pretty popular so the venue420 was really full; we were practically packed in like sardines421. But I was happy because the concert experience was amazing.
4. When was the last time you were in a crowded place?
The last time I was in a crowded place was when I went to the mall during the holidays. I was getting a
last-minute gift for my mother. In hindsight422 it wasn’t the greatest idea to go during the busy season, but I wanted to get her something special. Luckily I got the gift in time.
5. Why are metropolitan cities more crowded?
I think those kinds of cities are more crowded because generally, they’re the center of business and art. For example, in China, Beijing has tons of people living there because there are so many different jobs you can have there. Plus, there are lots of museums and tourist attractions.
