The most recent time I visited a friend was last October. My friend Lisa invited me to come over to her home for her birthday party. At the time, we happened to have a day off from school and Lisa thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to celebrate and hang out together. So she called a bunch of besties65 to have a meet-up66 at her home.

We agreed to meet there at 5pm that day. And as guests, we all prepared a small gift for Lisa and gave them to her right after67 we entered her home. Lisa cleaned her apartment from top to bottom before we came. What’s more, she even took a whole evening to make a birthday cake the day before we visited. It was a total surprise68 as none of us knew that she had just learned how to bake a birthday cake.

Anyway, since most of us didn’t have a knack for cooking, Lisa decided that dinner would be hotpot, which doesn’t require a lot of skill. So we prepared the side dishes for hotpot in the kitchen together. That night, we drank a boatload of beer and just shot the breeze69 as we enjoyed dinner. Before we left, we also played some card games to kill time.

Honestly, the party at Lisa’s home that day was a great bonding experience for all of us. It was the most relaxing and delightful day I’d had in a while. I hope I get to enjoy more events like this in the future.
