I’m going to talk about a child I saw on a TV show. He definitely made a mark on me192. The TV show was called “Chinese Poetry Congress’’. It mainly judges competitors to see who knows and has memorized the most Chinese poems. The participants range from the ages of five to seventy years old. The child I’m talking about was one of those contestants. He was the youngest gamer on the show, but he has a great deal of knowledge about Chinese poems and literary traditions. And he was also the funniest one on the show.

Unlike those adults who answer questions seriously, he would ask the host to give him a hint193 when he couldn’t think of the answer. And later when he got bored, he couldn’t sit still in his seat194 so he started walking around on the stage. Even the host of the program was helpless. He couldn’t figure out what to do with the kid, which made the whole situation even funnier. The little boy was so cute. His performance had me in stitches195.

I’m a loyal fan of this TV show, but this was the first time I was in tears with laughter196. I actually binge-watched197 the series, and none of the episodes were as funny as this one. I mean, who would ask the host to give an answer in a game show, right? And he was so bold that he didn’t seem to care if everyone was laughing at him. I still can’t help but burst out laughing198 when I recall that scene199.
