I?m going to talk about a stuffed girafTe that I got as a kid. It was from my aunt, and if memory serves correctly, she gave it to me when she came to visit our house when I was about six. My aunt lives in the States. Actually, her visits only happened once in a blue moon366 because it was such a long distance to travel. So I remember how exciting it was for her to come to visit.

Anyway, as a present, she gave me a stuffed giraffe that she bought in America, which was really special and could interact with children. My aunt taught me how to play with it; it would sing a song if you pressed it. That’s literally367 the first cool and stylish368 toy I received. I basically played with it day in and day out. I even brought it to school with me! I remember that many kids were green with envy about369 my toy. Plus, for quite a long period of time, I couldn’t sleep unless I hugged this stuffed giraffe. It was like a pacifier370 for me. I always felt more secure and soothed371 when I held it.

The stuffed giraffe has been lying in my drawer up until now. After a few years of that, it was pretty worse for the wear372, but I still love it. It’s not only because it’s the first fancy toy I had, but it also comes with some very special memories. It always reminds me of my aunt, who’s living on the opposite side of the world.
