An occasion I wore the best clothes happened when I attended my sister’s wedding ceremony. My dear sister got married two years ago and the relationship between her husband and her underwent a lot of hardships. So I was really happy to see that she finally caught her happiness and found the true love. Since I attached great importance to her wedding ceremony, I decided to design a dress by myself to celebrate this precious moment. I majored in fashion design so it was not hard for me to work it out. The dress was in blue with white stripes down the sleeves and I also added some diamonds to make it shiny. It was not so long since I did not want it to look like the bride dress. When it comes to why I wore it, I just wanted to do something special to celebrate this wonderful moment since my sister and I grew up together and we were the best friends for each other. Besides, I was excited to be her bridesmaid and witness my dear sister enter into a new stage of her life. Although the dress was quite cheap in its materials and decorations, I still think it is the best clothes that I have worn in my life because it was designed and made all by myself.

1.Do you think people should wear formal in the workplace?

It depends. As for certain jobs which have strict dress code such as the service industry, it is necessary for the workers to wear formal in work, which can demonstrate that they are quite professional and make the customers feel that they have been respected. But for other jobs such as the design or PR companies, I think the employees should just wear whatever they like since their jobs revolve around creativity and innovation. In this way, different colors may help inspire their original ideas.

2.Why do some people like to wear traditional clothes?

I think there are several reasons for it. For one thing, some people are just fond of such delicately-made clothes, and they can really get good kicks out of wearing such clothes outside. On the other hand, there is still a group of people who want to inherit the traditional culture through wearing traditional clothes and learning everything related to the ancient times.

3.Does tourism like to wear your traditional clothes in your country?

Well, I am not sure about it since it does not often happen around me. I don’t think the tourists enjoy wearing the traditional clothes of China when they take a trip here. This is because even the Chinese do not wear the traditional clothes very often nowadays besides some youngsters who are really keen on traditional Chinese cultures. I really hope that such fine cultures can be passed on from generation to generation and the citizens will not look at those in traditional clothes weirdly and make them feel embarrassed when they walk in the streets.

4.Will the traditional clothes will disappear in the future?

Well, although it’s hard to admit, I think the traditional clothes are doomed to disappear in the long future. This is because most of the traditional clothes are hard to wear, which are inconvenient in daily lives especially in the workplace. Also, the everchanging fashion trend makes people purse the latest trend with great enthusiasm, thus ignoring the traditional clothes gradually. Despite the fact that some ethnic minorities of China still wear traditional clothes, it is less likely for their offspring to do the same. In this way, I think such clothes are prone to disappear in the future.

5.Do the old people change their dress style?

It depends on different occasions. If the old people work in the factories or some industrial plants, they have to change their dress style since the traditional clothes are inconvenient for production. Also there are some old people who are quite fashionable. Just like the youngsters, they are fond of following the latest trend and trying new clothes with the most chic design. Therefore, it’s up to their minds to decide whether the dress style should be changed or not.
