Actually, I get up at 6 am every morning, to do a 30-minute meditation in my room. Meditation is a habitual process of training my mind to focus and redirect my thoughts. I use it to increase awareness of myself and surroundings. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress and develop concentration.
Actually, I was not familiar with meditation at all at the beginning. After introduced by my friend Jane about the benefits, and she asked me to do it every morning, as It’s a healthy habit that helped me start a good day. Being persuaded, I learn it through some mobile applications and YouTube website as well. These are various meditation techniques. For example, I sit comfortably, close my eyes, and breathe naturally. And I pay my attention on the breath and on how the body moves with each inhalation and exhalation.
Even though it’s challenging for me to get up early at the beginning, I get used to it after a few months. I have to say that doing meditation in the early morning is really useful for me. I use the practice to develop other beneficial habits and feelings, such as a positive mood and outlook, self-discipline, healthy sleep patterns and even increased pain tolerance, I feel it’s easier for me to focus on study or work through daily meditation in the morning. In addition, I feel more energetic and productive when waking up early.
