故事简介：去年12月，我被德国朋友邀请去参加圣诞节聚会。那个聚会是特别传统的西式风格，每 个人都穿着精美的正装，我们在聚会上各种跳舞。有各种美食，尤其是火鸡。那个聚会实在是太棒了， 我们交流着各种文化故事。

Last December, I was invited to a Christmas party organized by one of my foreign friends, Jane, who is from Germany and lives in Shanghai .The fantastic party was held in her apartment which is near my university.

The party was in traditional western style, where every attendee wore delicate clothes and had various kinds of western food. We danced together, delivered best wishes to each other and had a fantastic dinner. The dishes were very delicious, especially the classic roast turkey. My friend told me that it’s a traditional Christmas dish and easy to cook. All a turkey needs are a generous rubdown with plenty of salt and sugar and an overnight rest in the fridge to allow that seasoning to really penetrate—whether you’re roasting it whole. After that, we can just cook it with oven for about 1 hour.

I would say that was the best Christmas party I attended in my life. Because it’s entirely different from a Chinese festival party. Every part of it, including decoration, food, and service, was super excellent. I heard lots of funny stories, learned Christmas culture and received sweet wishes from several new friends. I wish that I will be able to attend more parties like this when studying abroad.
