The game show I would like to talk about is a Chinese TV program originating in the UK, called ‘Who wants to be a millionaire’(不用管这个节目到底有没有,反正考官没看过中国版的),and its top prize is one million yuan. If a candidate gets all of the questions right on the night and his life will not be the same ever again.

The setup of the show is quite simple: there are 15 questions to attempt, each worth an increasingly large sum of money. The first few questions, worth relatively small amounts, are easy and straightforward, but as the prize money increases, so does the difficulty of the questions. The questions can cover any range of quiz topics, including general knowledge, history, science, famous people &etc., but many of the later questions are extremely obscure in nature. When you feel that you don’t know the answer to a question, the quiz show offers you a choice: leave with the money that has already gained or ask for help.

As a big fan of this show, I used to watch the TV show on Tencent TV on a weekly basis. It’s a show where I can learn general knowledge through fun, and it’s interesting to watch talents competing with each other When I watched the show, I regarded myself as a candidate, to see if I would be able to get the prize, but unfortunately,丨 never reached the end. In addition, it helped me relieve my stress, getting fresh air from my study.
