1. What kinds of service are bad services?
One of the worst services areas tends to be in the restaurant industry. It is beyond frustrating to deal with a waiter that doesn’t want to do their job. Often, people are subjected to slow, inefficient and even rude service while dining. However, this can take place in any industry.
2. Why do some people choose to remain silent when they receive bad services?
For some people, it is easier just to put up with the poor service. It can be embarrassing to speak your mind, especially when you have to complain about someone standing in your vicinity. A lot of people don’t like confrontation too. So, they just move on with life after dealing with the poor experience.
3. Who should be responsible for bad services?
I believe that the manager should take charge of the situation. It is their job to manage the team, so if someone is slacking off then it is their problem. However, I also feel that the person providing the service should take responsibility. An apology from the employee should be in order at the very least.
4. As a boss, what would you do to prevent bad service?
Personally, I would strive to keep my team well motivated. I think working together to create an efficient service period should be top priority. Of course, I would also reward my team for their hard work. With a little appreciation and attentive leadership, most shifts should work like a well-oiled machine.
